Boroko East is an area within Boroko itself covering the surrounding area of Bava Street. This area consists mostly of residential properties and schools with sport facilities including the Port Moresby Racquets Club and Bava Street Rugby Field.

Outside of these stores you will find fresh food markets offering a variety of fruit and vegetables available in the morning and afternoons. Entering Basini Parade from Bava Street, you will head towards the main shopping area in Boroko normally referred to as Tabari Place which includes small shopping malls, banks and food outlets.
